my doc told me to that lamactil only works for 8 hrs and to take another pill later in the day but it doesn't seem to be working...i don't want to lose my relationship..but im always so mad at him!!Health Question & Answer

unless your time with your boyfriend somehow like clockwork corresponds with when your meds stop working the problem cant logically be due to the meds or the bipolar... otherwise you would have the same mood and affect with everything else. Bipolar is medical not environmental or situational.
If you only have issues with your boyfriend than the issue is either a real life issue you have with him or you have something else going on like Borderline personality that has alot of similar appearing symptoms as bipolar but is situationally triggered and usually focuses around intimate relations with others especially our romantic partners.

lol...wow i m glad i didn't take those meds...i was recently prescribed lamactil...but i didn't start taking them...b/c when i was placed on paxil i woke up one day and broke up with my b/f for no apparent reason....then begged him to come back when the meds wore off....i HATE MEDS!!!Health Question & Answer
