I just got a cd on hypnosis from my therapist and its from the convention she went to in 2005 for her to quit smoking (and BTW she hasnt picked up a cig since)...and they had a whole collection there which she bought...
Today she gave me a cd that has 3 parts on it:
1.getting over giult
2.ridding depression
3.pain management (that one im going to see if my husband wants to try that one b/c he has very bad back pain from a car accident)
I just did the guilt part b/c your supposed to do one section at a time everyday for a month...and i feel good...
but im wondering if its really going to help me or just help relax while listening to his voice...

Answers:
Hypnosis is extremely powerful. Oh yeah, it works. I was so impressed with it the first few times my doctor used it on me that I went and took a course to be certified in it. (I only use it for myself.)
I've had dentists who didn't know me assume on I was on some kind of pain-killers because I have dental work done with no Novocaine. I hate needles.
It works best if you do use the tapes on a regular basis.
And btw, I'm a fiction writer. I can use it to help me tap into the subconscious and create some really cool fiction.
