Question: Is there a scientific reason to this.?
some people r manic depressives..while some others r always cheerful and happy

thanx.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
In majority of the cases, this kind of disease is self made.

If one analyzes and tries to find out ones weaknesses, deficiencies, drawbacks, defects, shortcomings, etc. etc. and lists them one by one, one will come to know where one is going wrong. If one takes measures to gradually in a step by step manner, remove the bad things from the list, some improvement can be seen soon.

A disciplined and orderly man and morally strong man may not get such disorders. One should not blame chemical, witch or other forces. It comes because of poor physical and mental habits. It also comes because of weak morals.

One should find the source for such mental disorders and cut its root then and there. Health Question & Answer

About Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder, formerly called manic depression, is a brain disorder. It causes unusual shifts in a person's mood, energy, and ability to function, says the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

Bipolar disorder is severe. It's not the same as the normal ups and downs of life. Bipolar disorder can have extreme effects, raising suicide risk.

Like other mental illnesses, bipolar disorder is treatable. However, it needs consistent attention. In that regard, it's like diabetes or heart disease -- long-term illnesses that take a lifetime of careful management, says the NIMH.

As with any other serious health condition, don't try to handle any mental illness alone. Seeking help is the first step toward a better life. Resources include doctors, psychiatrists, mental health professionals, social workers, and other trained counselors.Health Question & Answer
