Well I can understand what you're saying. Because I have suffered a lot. Let me assure you with one thing- who really loves you won't be affected from this considerations. You should keep in mind that anxiety is a natural response of the body (that is a lot more common than most people think) and maybe you can share your feelings with your girlfriend. Don't be so harsh with yourself! You are doing your best. When you will see that people around you (who really love you) will continue to love you, even if you suffer from some things that bother you- then you won't be so anxious (It helped me to be free)Health Question & Answer

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to....

I have the same issue. One thing that helps me is that if I get too anxious to do something, I say to myself, "What's the worst that could happen" Usually I realize that I am not afraid of the worst that could happen so I go on with what I was scared to do. I know its hard but it works sometimes. Good LuckHealth Question & Answer

Anxiety is really complex. You shoud seek help from your GP and learn relaxation techniques to control it. You need to be honest with your girlfriend - explain what is going on or you might just lose her.Health Question & Answer
