It hurts too much yet don't feel anything..?!


Question: It hurts too much yet don't feel anything...?
What can I do. I really need help.
I know it makes no sense it hurting so much, but I can't feel anything.
I mean emotional pain not physical.
I just want to give up.

What can I do to make myself feel better.?
Am on anti depressants at the moment. On the list for counselling, have been for nearly 6 weeks and haven't heard anything yet, jus being patient.
Is there anything I can do to make it better.?

As a woman, there are so many up and down emotions that we dont understand. I have been under the same feelings, feeling numb and I never understood why. My mother always told me that it was something that came from the family.

There are two things to help you deal with this and it looks like your trying and that is a very good step. You have to think about it this way, your emotion/brain is like a muscle and that muscle...you have the control. You can tell your brain to stop thinking that way, I dont want to hurt myself, I will not hurt myself. This person loves me, why do I think that they dont. Things like positive SELFTALK helps a lot. When your mind gets obsessive on something try controlling your breathing, after you feel like you have control, then concentrate on something that makes you happy. A new appartment, house, new clothes, the i phone.

This is really hard for a lot of people and then there are others who dont understand why we/us feel that way and look down on us. I hope that I helped in someway. Health Question & Answer

If you are a child or teenager, the antidepressants could be causing the problem, oddly enough. With some children or teenagers, antidepressants have the opposite effect. This can also happen with adults too. My grandmother became suicidal after being put on an antidepressant. Fortunately she got off it very quickly too.

An alternative to antidepressants would be Saint John's Wort. It doesn't require a prescription either. My sister is on it and it manages her depression quite well.

Don' t give up. Think about the things that really make you happy. For instance if you love going for long walks, meeting new people, then go ahead, do it. If you just want to clear your head of all thoughts take a lie down in your bed and listen to your favorite tune. Or treat yourself to some new bath goodies and relax in a warm bath. Sweetheart just hang in there. Don't know what happened to cause you so much emotional pain but "this too will pass". If you feel it is all too much and you just can't handle it, go to the hospital to get help before thinking about anything drastic. People who try drastic things and live to tell the tale always say how stupid it was and that they wouldn't try THAT again. Trust me!Health Question & Answer

See dont feel so bad.Life is really short.Just try to concentrate on some other thing which u like the most.If u ask me,whenever i feel depressed in my life i used to divert my mind by playing some games r by listening to music.Just give a try.

id start by going to the jokes and riddles section on here, but afterwards if that doesnt help, then just start writing positive things about yourself down on a piece of paper n just keep reading it over and over helped my pal out hope it heps u 2
