I've been taking Metrazepine, oh, for about 2 months now, and I started out with 15 milligrams and I had great results. I went to my psychologist 1 week ago and he up dosed my medication to 22.5 milligrams, and my depression increased. Is this common.? Will my depression go back down after awhile.? This doesn't make sense to me. If you were taking 15mg and told him/her you were feeling much less depressed and feeling better overall there isn't a reason to increase the dose. However, sometimes Drs. assessments from the outside are different from our internal assessments. There may be a recommended dosage that he wants to get you up to. I am going to be overly cautiious and suggest you call your doctor and tell him that you are feeling more depressed after a week. This drug does have a black box warning which suggests you call immediately if more depressed. I would call first thing in the morning.Health Question & Answer
