Depression medication question?!

Question: Depression medication question.?
I've been taking Metrazepine, oh, for about 2 months now, and I started out with 15 milligrams and I had great results. I went to my psychologist 1 week ago and he up dosed my medication to 22.5 milligrams, and my depression increased. Is this common.? Will my depression go back down after awhile.? Answers:
This doesn't make sense to me. If you were taking 15mg and told him/her you were feeling much less depressed and feeling better overall there isn't a reason to increase the dose. However, sometimes Drs. assessments from the outside are different from our internal assessments. There may be a recommended dosage that he wants to get you up to. I am going to be overly cautiious and suggest you call your doctor and tell him that you are feeling more depressed after a week. This drug does have a black box warning which suggests you call immediately if more depressed. I would call first thing in the morning.Health Question & Answer
