I need help?! ?!

i have so much stress from school and my family. my dad just got a job that is actually costing him money, and hes stressed out so much and hes making me stressed out. and school is so hard and there is so much to do. i threw up twice today because i was so stressed. i really feel like not being alive anymore. i cant go to a shrink because my family can't afford it. what should i do.?Health Question & Answer

It's hard when you see a family member going through a hard time. Especially when it's a parent. The whole family gets affected. Your dad has to work out his work problems and it isn't your job to worry about it for him. However, you can be a supportive and encouraging daughter and try not adding to his stress.You just focus on the things in life you can control like your grades, chores, attitude. It sounds like you're a little depressed and afraid. Can you share any of this with a close friend, a trusting adult or a youth counselor from church or school.? Well, the good thing is, you are still in school. So, that means that you must have a school guidance counselor. I know they are only but so good, but if you can't afford a psychiatrist, then I would go to the guidance counselor, and use him/her for a psychologist anyway. They are paid to talk and counsel the students. That is what they are supposed to be there for/ not just telling you what college to go to. So, if talking your problems out with your guidance counselor over a series of visits doesn't seem to help you with your stress levels, then I would go to your doctor (the primary care physician), and ask for a prescription (with your parents permission of course) for an antidepressant.Health Question & Answer

Unfortunately this will not be the first time life throws a fast ball at you. It sounds like you are suffering from anxiety. I personally have bad anxiety and have just learned to deal. I can't fix school or your family's situation but I can help you cope.

-Deep breaths! When you feel stressed, like you are not in control of the current situation close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths.

-Write in a diary or a journal. Releasing your thoughts on to paper can lift some of your stress. Just getting it out of your head and into words and help you see a solution, or an easier way to deal.

-Ever considered meditation.? I was given a great, simple meditation book when I was at a really low point and it did wonders. Maybe it was the meditation or just the effort of attempting something that brightened my spirits.

-Do/get a hobby that interests you. Today I was very sad and depressed. I made paper flowers by following instructions I found through google. I brightened up immediately

Talk to your school counselor. He or she is trained to help. Get involved in sports, ride your bike or run. Exercise helps to relieve stress. You need to know that there are some things you just can't controll. They will have to work themselves out by themselves. Your job is to take care of yourself so that your family doesn't have to worry about you. It will all work out in time. Be cheerful and help your family as much as you can. talk to a school counsler, or if you goto church, talk to your priest/rabbi , talk to someone!! if you let things bottle up inside, your gonna blow, so you need to find a way to channel this so it doesnt destroy you.
remember, the problems your dad is going thru are not your fault and you cant fix them, best you can do is to not become something you dad will need to worry about right now. talk to your dad, maybe he is worried about you. but you need to get with a counsler, it doesnt matter where you live, there are people you can talk to for free in every town.. here in california, we have 211 its like 411=information 911= fire/police 211 will give you the number to where you can get some help..

Look, i know ur family is in a hard trial right now, but dont u worry, think of the things u still have, don't try to lose them as well by worrying and not paying attention at them. Ur dad needz a hand right now, n if ur gonna show him dat u r also worried and trying to ruin ur life, dat wud give him a big hard time, give him a hand, tell him dat u r there standing with him!. try talking to friends, writing in a jornal,
and you could try taking easier classes in school so you can get a job
