I think committment to getting rid of it. Just like you get up to to class get obsessed with graduating get obsessed with finding a new job, get obsessed with all the things that bring about these mental illnesses. Get obsessed with ridding yourself of this thorn. Whatever it takes, that goal, great people in your circle. Sometimes you have to seperate yourself from negative vampires (people sometimes even relatives and family memebers who want to keep you in that state because misery loves company or they fear that you will overcome and be victorious. It is quite simple, I know you are probably like easier said than done but try it. Sit down and write a few interest and goals that you have and attack them. You will see profound results. Stick with the program, always make those goals priority. Spend quality time with people you love and that can be a positive ASSET TO YOUR LIFE and your best interest. The outcome will be amazing, you will be productive, satisfied, proud of yourself and bipolar will be no longer apart of your thoughts or vocabulary

By the way whatever it is that you are so depressed about take care of that, get that out of your spirit FIRST.........and then you will be able to move forward..... Health Question & Answer

you can't stop bipolar... and you can't stop the depression... in my experience... you can ease it... you can ease it with exercise, meds, etc.

but, it never gets cured. exercise most definitely helps. but, don't think that just bc you exercise or take meds that you won't ever have that bipolar depression or mania. it happens. Health Question & Answer

stay positive!
i know thats what everyone says, but it you think negativley, then only negative things will happen to you!
its good that you are excercising, excercise keeps your energy level up and just makes you feel good.
maybe start a hobby to keep you busy, join a club or a sport team.
keeping a journal helps me alot to collect my thoughts. its a good way to let your emotions out without having to confide in anyone.
good luck
