While you can consult a good psychiatrist, still I will advice you to change your life style and mind set.

Change your habits and traits towards a healthier one.

For all your diagnosed shortcomings, weaknesses, deficiencies, defects, etc. following are my brief suggestions:-

(1) Your unhappiness. Happiness is not sold in market. You have to self generate and if possible, transmit it to others also.
(2) Forgetfulness. or Memory loss. Take natural food, nutritious food, balanced food, at regular intervals. Take fresh vegetables and fruits.
Drink pure things, water, milk, yogurt, honey, etc. Avoid hard drinks. Avoid LSD like substances. Avoid strong smoking habits.
(3) General lack of carying. Pay attention to your area of work. Take interests in whatever you do.
(4) Sleeping trouble. In addition to dietary regulations, also avoid bad company. Associate with right minded. Compare with difficult lot. Identify with great and noble and imbibe their qualities.
(4) Anxiety is a chain reaction. It starts from bad thinking habits. Avoid too much of attraction towards sense objects. Attachments should be within limits. Desire only noble and good things to elevate your personality. Do not desire sky. If your unwanted desire is not fulfilled you get irritated, frustrated thus resulting in anger. Anger takes you to worry and anxiety, then you get confusion of memory which takes you ultimately to loss of reason. So it is all self made. Find the source and cut the root.Health Question & Answer

I was diagnosed with severe depression 4 years ago. From the looks of it you have mild to moderate depression. When I was first diagnosed they had me on zoloft. They started me on a low dose but as time went by and i didn't start feeling any better they had eventually increased my dose all the way up to 200 mg. Due to other health issues they had to stop my medication. A few weeks later they had me on Lexapro but the side affects were unbearable. Finally I had given up on all medications. Two years later I just couldn't take the unbearable feelings of my depression so I had went to a psychiatrist and was prescribed Cymbalta. The medication was great but my insurance wouldn't cover the cost of it. After 3 months of taking it i had finally given up on all medications. I am still suffering with depression to this day, but i've been trying to make the best out of life that I can. Health Question & Answer

That certainly sounds like depression to me. I took one Paxil once & was so jittery that I never took another, but that's just me - you may have better luck.

The things I've found that help with depression are:

1) Exercise. It's hard to get motivated so you have to find something you like. Actually, you have to FORCE yourself. Even walking a 1/2 hour a day (if you can find an interesting place to walk) is a good start.

2) Vitamin B complex. I find that the cheaper stuff works better than the expensive stuff.

Yes, this is still depression.
If the paxil is making you really fidgitiy, then this is not the drug for you. Let the doctor know, and he/she can switch you to another SSRI (antidepressant). Some people may have to try 3 or 4 different ones befoe they get the one that works right for them. Health Question & Answer

yes this is definitly depression. i was diagnosed with depression over this past summer. i had all of those same symtoms and i wasnt interested in hanging with friends, i was always tired, my appetite was completely gone, and things that i normally loved to do did not appeal to me anymore. i never cried tho. i was put on zoloft and they gradually moved the dose up to 100ml. i am feeling a lot better now. if the paxil is making u jittery, talk to ur doctor. let him/her know of the side affect. it may just be because u are just starting on it, or it may be ur body fighting it. the doctor will know.
i hope you get everything worked out! good luck!Health Question & Answer

Anti depressents will make you jittery. Iv been on almost all of them. Hamdulallah I am happy now. But of all the ones I was on Zoloft worked the best with very little withdrawl and side effects
