What are people with psychosis capable of?!
Question: What are people with psychosis capable of.?
I live next door to a pair of stoners that I found out actually have psychosis from amphetamine abuse.
Today, they threatened to "stab those dogs" (me and my room mate).
They threaten to stab/kill/smash/bash/choke each other all the time, and have broken each others limbs, teeth, etc.
I'm worried, fair call, and have been trying to find out if anyone else has experienced anything similar, and what have you done about it.?
All I can find on the topic is medical information on what psychosis is.

How did you find out they have psychosis.? did you just assume it from their drug usage or do you actually know about them being in a psychiatric hospital an therapy and such.?
i really think thats jujst waht you believe, because i know from exp, that if someone is diagnosed as being psychotic, for one, they would never be in posetion of any narcotics or drugs at any time because they are monitered 4 times a month for the first year most times, then only iff they get better they get a little breathing room.
but anyway, if they are declared by the court to be insane, and you see them doing this, you can calll the police station and tell them that they have a psyhotic history and are being destructive and harrasing you, and they will get taken away immediatly.

why dont you call the police and ask to remain anonomous, and tell them they have psychosis, and are not taking their medications, and are harrassing you.?
seriously, if they do have psychosis they are going to be monitored for the rest of their life. the police should be able to find their case workers and psychiatrists that watch over them and see the last time they have went to visit them, their last appointment, etc.
if they find prooof that they really do have a mental disease, and you tell them they were harrassing you, they will take htem away, without them ever knowing you caused it

People without a diagnosed psychosis are capable of just about anything while people who have been diagnosed and are under the care of a physician are less likely to do bad things. My suggestion to you is to move into a better apartment if at all possible.Health Question & Answer
