2 doctors saying 2 different things?!

Question: 2 doctors saying 2 different things.?
My OB-GYN prescribes me Lexapro and Ativan. He tells me take 3 of the 0.5 Ativan pills if you're very anxious. He says I can't take more than 12 pills a day. Then my family doctor is like telling me omg, you'll become dependent if you take Ativan every night. Ativan is so addictive. Don't take it too often. Ativan is addictive....
Which doctor should I listen to.? 2 doctors say totally different things.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I agree with your family doctor. I was on Ativan, and was ok at first and then it was addicting, I wasn't getting from it what I used to when I first started taking it, so I started taking more at a time - BIG mistake, before I knew it I was abusing it and overdosed on it.

If there is another option, I highly recommend it, please don't take this drug.

I would have to agree with the family doctor on this one. You can become dependent on Ativan. Use the Ativan only when your feeling anxious and when the Lexapro kicks in (takes about 2 weeks) you may not need the Ativan at all. My doc prescribes Ativan 0.5mg up to three pills a day when necessary.Health Question & Answer

OMG, why is an OB-GYN suggesting that you take ativan, when what I read it suggests not to take it when you're pregnant.
