I have the same problem with sandpaper. Part of the hatred is fear of sanding of my fingers off slow and painfully. You will have to look further within yourself to know why for yourself.
If it gets really bad to point you have to leave the room when someone does it. It may be something painful in your past that may need looking in to. At the moment it's up to you whether you can live with it or change it.Health Question & Answer

I have a friend who shivers from the sound of styrofoam rubbing together. Unpacking a box with electronics in it drives him crazy. Personally, I can't even write with a pencil that isn't mechanical. Anything less than the sharp point causes a soft sound that strikes my nerves and gives me shivers. BTW - what truly is normal.?Health Question & Answer

think back to why you hate that sound so much. the power to your original question is what caused you to hate it. who zipped their purse up in such a way that it imprinted in your head so much that you hate it now.? then again, it may not be that deep. I CANNOT stand the sound people make when they chew with their mouths open. Doesn't stem from anything. I just hate it. Take your pick...childhood trauma or pet peeve. either way...its something you hate and thats still okay. lolHealth Question & Answer
