Feeling emotionally empty?!


Question: Feeling emotionally empty.?
Is there any suggestions for why I might feel like this or "natural" solutions I might try.? I read about bipolar and stuff, and it's like the opposite of that. I get hyper or burnt out, but I never get happy or upset. My life isn't bad. I mean there are things I wish I could or would have done, but I've never been in serious trouble. But long story short, I don't know if I would recognize the sensation of happiness. I feel everything with my mind. Is it possible that emotions can actually die.?Health Question & Answer

Been there, many times. Mostly I just grow out of it within a week. Try to find something to trigger passion, emotion, anything.
If you have a hobby, anything really, trying diving into that again, even if you lost interest in it.
You could also try meditiating. Your brain may have been so overwhelmed by something that instead of dealing with it, it shut down your emotions to 'protect' you. Kinda like how some people black out memories after being raped, the brain is being protective of memories that are harmful. Not saying that you went through anything near that traumatic, but since you said you led a basically good life, something little might have triggered that for you in your brain

Try taking some 'alone' time to figure things out. Listen to music, write, anything to get some form of emotion out, when it happens don't stop, keep going at whatever your doing untill you feel better. Health Question & Answer
