Seeing things that aren't there?!

Question: Seeing things that aren't there.?
Not things in and of themselves, but involving other people(and sometimes objects). Recently, it's been starting to happen more and more. It all seems so realistic, it's hard to tell what's real. I'm not a doctor, but I doubt that this is Schizophrenia, that's way to extreme + I know that these visions I'm seeing are not real (I know for sure because I make a point to ask people) which pretty much proves I'm still sane.

Answers:
You're right - it's unlikely to be a serious illness like schizophrenia.

Hallucinations can be brought on by a number of things. Have you started any new medication (any type, not just psychiatric) ,have you been particularly stressed or tired recently.?

Go and see you doctor about it, they will know what to do about it.

it might not be that illness.. it may not go that far.. many people experience such things.. i myself.. once i thought i saw someone beside me but then realizing theres no one around.. hallucinations.. it usually happens when you are thinking of some thing or someone.. then those data on your mind can build up and seem to be real.. if you experience it a lot.. 3 things might be true..
1. you have a really good visualization abilities.. what i mean is you seem to make the things that you have been thinking lately seem real..
2. you may have such illness..
3. maybe your exposed to any drugs.. u may not be using them on purpose but things around your environment may have cause you to be exposed with those drugs.. see your doctor sometime... just to make sure..Health Question & Answer

I doubt it is Schizophrenia you probably don't sleep enough. Sleep is essential because when you dream, it acts as a kind of memory filter and refreshes you're brain. When you don't sleep enough, you tend to start dreaming when awake (Which I think is happening to you). Get some rest, and if that does not work (which I doubt) see a psychiatrist :)Health Question & Answer
