maybe you should try zoloft instead of Effexor. Zoloft really worked amazingly well for my anxiety.

It sounds to me like you have more anxiety then depression, and I think that is what Effexor is for.

are you getting enough physical exercise in.? this could help with those first thing in the morning slight panic attacks your having. When you exercise you release a whole lot of great feeling hormones and get out all the anxiety causing chemicals in your body!

avoid sugar and caffiene, these can be dehydrating and people with anxiety experience more anxiety when dehydrated! I know it sounds silly but I am SO right on that one!

you need to find a way to increase your self esteem and love and accept you. If you cant do it for yourself then you will never believe anyone else who does. Try finding people other young gay men and talk about what you go through, maybe when you feel that your surrounded by people like you then you can be yourself and learn to love yourself. This non-self acceptance your going through is terrible!

Its like you dont want to be who you are inside and your constantly fighting with yourself, you poor thing.Health Question & Answer

I I I me me me mine mine mine You are anxious because all you do is concern yourself, with yourself. I don't take any drug legal or illegal. An aspirin once in awhile, is it, so I can't say about drugs except that doctors give them out like candy sometimes. Stop all the thinking about your sexual orientation and get up of you bed and do something good for another person. Go get a job even if its part time. Whether your gay or straight or transvestite is not relevant to getting to the business of living, Stop obsessing about it and get out of bed and do something for someone else. Live one day at a time , but plan for a lifetime!Health Question & Answer

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to....

I am not a doctor or any kind of medical professional, but perhaps I can offer a few words of advice. I shall assume that the many misspellings and sentence irregularities are not intentional (something a "troll" might do) and that your plea is sincere and genuine.

Some of the symptoms you describe are among the side effects of effexor and clonazempam, both of which you are taking. You might want to seek further counseling from other professionals and you might also want to join some support groups. If you can't find any close to you, try getting referrals from your health care professionals or try looking on the Internet.

Your medications might actually be worsening your condition.

You say the trouble started with being gay, but I wonder if it less being gay than fear of being gay. I whole-heartedly disagree with those who told you that you can change your sexuality. I suggest, here also, that you seek support groups and professionals with more wisdom and a better grip on facts.

This is a very deep subject that you really should explore in many ways. I wish you the very best. Yahoo! Answers is a good place to start, but you really need to seek GOOD counseling.

Support groups can really be helpful. Good luck.
