Wow, I went through the EXACT same thing. I was so afraid I was going to sporadically hurt someone for no reason. I promise you are not alone. I never got professional help because I did not have insurance at the time. I just prayed and became close with God. My general doctor told me it was a sign of depression, and I had too much time to think. Get a hobby, keep your mind busy. There is nothing wrong with you. They are just thoughts and they can not hurt you or anyone else.Health Question & Answer

Although I obviously can't legally diagnose you, especially based on a short paragraph and no background, it certainly sounds like you might be developing paranoid-schizophrenia or at the very least an anxiety disorder.

Sure, the breakup may have left you feeling depressed, but imagining harmful things for yourself and/or others is a little extreme.

Please talk to a therapist as soon as you can before this progresses any further. Health Question & Answer

I would just like to say that I also picture myself getting hurt on stairs or on the sidewalk and I see things that aren't there. I shake them from my mind.
It could be something serious especially if you are allowing these thoughts to scare you.
It could be anxiety, which I have. You should get some professional help.
I've never thought I should seek some help about this, but maybe I should.?
Well, I hope it all works out for you.

dont freak out but maybe you have a brain tumor...Health Question & Answer

Ok, first you need to try to calm yourself down. From the looks of it, you sound manic and anxious all put together. Now, what you need to do is to tell your parents. If they know, then they can get help for you. There are specialists out there who can help you; be honest and they can help you. My mother is child psych nurse who deals with things like this every day.
If your parents can't help you be firm and tell them that you need to see someone who can help. If they still don't understand, go to your school counselor and tell them what you are going through. They can help too.
also, try looking up local hotlines that are specifically for mental health, the phonebook may have some or try online. these people are trained to listen and to get the help that you need.
As for the migraines, they are most likely caused by the anxiety and stress that you have worked up within yourself. Calm yourself; its hard to do but its worth it. Try to breathe slowly; listen to calm music; block all thoughts; or try to picture something calming and relaxing. These work well..you just have to put effort into it.
Finally the sleep. Again with the blocking of thoughts. Listen to music and breath deeply. Once you have mastered this, I promise sleep will come. There are other techniques to help you sleep; I suggest looking up sleep techniques and trying them out. Find one that works for you and continue to use it.
There is nothing wrong with getting help. There are people out there who deal with the same things you are. Remember that! And know that there is nothing "wrong" with you, your just going through a tough time and need help with solving your problems.
I hope this helps! Health Question & Answer

First of all, I doubt that this has anything to do with you breaking up with someone- I could be wrong, but unless you were really attached to/in love with this person, that probably isn't it. Even if it is, it is probably part of a bigger problem. Second, it sounds like this could be serious- are you actually hallucinating, or just imagining things.? There is a difference- a hallucination you see (it could be either very realistic or not at all, but you SEE it), as opposed to imagining it, ie thinking it, and almost being able to see it.

Have you ever felt this was before.? Because it sounds like you could be bipolar, and many bipolar people get much worse with the end of summer (which I think may be also SAD- seasonal affective disorder). I know someone very well who is fairly normal in the spring, but come winter she has been almost diagnosed as schizophrenic.

If you can trust your parents or your doctor, I suggest you talk to them. Trust me- if you ignore this, it could get so much worse. And once you get into this, you probably won't be able to ask for help (simply because you'll become so paranoid that you can't confide in anyone, or depressed, or whatnot). It could be something completely different, but it sounds serious to me.Health Question & Answer

When you notice something negative, such as: "I'm never going to get over this!" or: "Why am I always so pathetic/useless/such a loser.?" or even: "I can't do this/will never get over this!", or a disturbing image, recognise that this is part of the mindset which will hold you back from progress. Having identified and labelled it, visualise a large red "STOP!" sign, and/or possibly a stern faced person wagging an index finger at you in a negative manner, then say to yourself as forcefully as you can, even aloud in a big voice, if alone: "I know this tactic: GO AWAY FOR A WHILE !!!"

You may want to use either: "ruse", "ploy", "game", or "trick", instead of "tactic". In the case of an image, visualise a large "STOP" sign, or your preferred version. Some people go so far as to keep a wide rubber band in their pocket, then put it around their wrist, when they catch themselves backsliding, stretch and release it, as a method of reprogramming their mind sooner, but I don't regard it as being strictly necessary. Remember to remove it, afterwards, if you use this method.

Practice one of the relaxation methods in sections 2, 11, 2c, or 2i, daily, and when needed, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris and migraine is addressed in section 14. Stress; view section 42; page i first.

A variant of EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, which has been used successfully for those people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, insomnia, and anxiety, is shown in section 42, on page i, at ezy-build. I have found that the 2 - 3 minutes spent using the EMDR markedly reduces distractions to the relaxation process, and is repaid many times over.RELATIONSHIPS: go to http://www.relationshipweb.com and http://www.relationship-affairs.com and BOARDS, at http://www.mental-health-today.com/ptsd/...
