Is it normal to be that low deceptive of pain? ?!

Question: Is it normal to be that low deceptive of pain.? .?
i am only 14, but i have always had a REALLY low deceptive of pain. for example- when i was 8 months my mom dropped me down the stairs by accident, never cried or had any injuries whatsoever. When i was 1 my dad knocked my head into a brick wall and not a peep was heard from me. When i was two and had the car door slammed on my hand i didnt cry either. My parents said i have had a lot of injuries like this and they call it "just a hard head". In fourth grade (8 years old) the soccer goalpost came crashing down on my head which left me with ADHD, luckily not killing me, but i never cried when it did. last year in 8th grade when i was 13 i severly broke my ankle and started laughing- i was out from all physical activity for 8 months.
is this normal.? Health Question & Answer

Have you consulted a physician regarding your question.? I'm not sure what you mean by using the word 'deceptive', which means to keep secret, or hide the truth from. Perhaps you meant perceptive.? As in I have a low perception of pain, meaning that I don't hurt when I think I should.

I gather that you feel that you have a 'high tolerance for' pain, which means that you don't experience pain when most other people would. Is that what you are saying.?

If it is causing you problems, such as not noticing an injury in time to get it cared for, and it becomes infected or life threatening, then I would see a physician about it.

An individuals actual EXPERIENCE of pain is often subject to their psychological perception of an injury. I have had someone tell me "hey you are bleeding", and even tho it was just a small cut, I never 'felt' it until they mentioned it, AND I saw it.

If it is a problem for you healthwise, please see a doctor.Health Question & Answer

Im sure theres nothing wrong with you love.My daughter has always been the same. She was once on a bike ride with us and wasnt looking where she was going the next thing we knew she was on the ground with the bike on top of her having misjudged the kerb and laughing her head off another time, she was making a cup of tea and the cup of boiling water slipped and went on to her belly scalding her quite badly(she still has the mark now) and all she did was shout her dad. Then there was a time when she was playing hide and seek with her friends upstairs in the dark and she slipped and bumped her mouth on the video cabinet she had a split lip and gum which was pouring with blood but she never moaned or cried about any of them. Some people have a better pain threshold than others xxHealth Question & Answer
