Question: Does anyone know how long.?
it takes Paxil 20mg to get into your system.? I have been on Xanax 1mg 3times a day and will need to wean off this medication. How long can I expect this to take.? I have severe anxiety and that is what I am on this med. for. Thank you for you responses.Health Question & Answer

First of all why do you need to wean yourself off of your medication. Paxil is an antidepressant and xanax is for anxiety as you know. Each has a different purpose. You have to wean off of medications with the help of your doctor. Only he knows your history and what is the correct way for you to do it. I hope you aren't going to do this on your own. If done wrong the Xanax will give you unwanted and very uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms and the return of your severe anxiety but possibly more severe. Please don't do this without your doctors care.

Please talk to your Doctor about this, and do not stop taking it because of impatience. He may be able to take the edge of with another medication until the Paxil

i'm not sure, but its a question to ask the doctor that prescribed you that meds. don't even listen to people here on the internet nor googling it up it can give you an accurate answer for sure. ask your physician. but one thing i know about this med is it stays in you system for at least 4-5 hour that's what it says on my DRUG GUIDE BOOK but it doesn't say how long to get it into your system.Health Question & Answer
