Question: Can't sleep, need tips on how to get to sleep fast. HELP!.?
Ok, thanks for reading. It is 1:10 a.m. I have to wake up at 6:15 a.m. I stupidly drank a bottle of coke at 12:00. I am 13 so it made me kind of hyper. I promised my mom I would do well in school and get more sleep. So, any tips.? Please answer I want to be asleep by 1:30 and it's too late to use sleeping pills. P.S. don't tell me I have a sleeping disorder because I know I have 2 and I am working to overcome one of them, I just need tips.Health Question & Answer

If you're having racing thoughts, maybe try writing some of them down to get them out of your head. Turn out the lights, or at least turn them down, curl up with a book, get yourself into sleep mode, no more computer. Try not to drink coke so late at night if you know it will affect you in this way. Make sure you have extra alarms set so that if you *do* fall asleep and sleep well, you are able to come out of that sleep in time. I usually set my cell phone alarm and an alarm clock across the room so that I have to get up to turn the alarm off. I deal with sleep disorders myself, so I know where you are coming from. Just try not to do anything that will stress you out, try to do anything that will calm you, maybe take a hot shower or something. Curl up under a warm blanket. Don't worry about what time it is, or how long it takes you to fall asleep, because the more you focus on the time, the harder it is to fall asleep. Best wishes!Health Question & Answer

Stop focusing on how badly you want to sleep--that will make it worse. Have a glass of milk, turn off your computer and/or TV, take some deep even breaths and stretch a little bit. Then get into bed and daydream about something stress-free and pleasant.

I think u r right now , no problems at all , u r meddling ur self cause the problems . Go to bed earlier and get up earlier. it will work starting you will face problems and lately u ill be used to it just diring plain water before sleep . and in the morning also drink 1ltr plain water , that will keep you fresh and energitic all day . Take NyQuil or Benadryl. they don't cause "actual harm" or have any dirty "addiction" strings tied to them, and they very quickly and swiftly knock you out. some might say this is a bad idea, but those people are people who can't sleep :)Health Question & Answer

Well i take melatonin and its supposed to help people when they fly somewhere and the hours are different so it helps them go to sleep when its dark outside. Like i take it cus my schedule is all messed up idk whats goin on. Hope i helped!
