Hey, what do you think of my term paper?!

Question: Hey, what do you think of my term paper.?
The issue of psychopathology in society brings up many troubling questions and concerns. Perhaps the most troubling reality is the seemingly ineffective nature of treatment in regards to changing or managing the psychopathic personality. This is an important issue for society as a whole, for it would seem that deterrence is not enough to keep the psychopathic criminal from committing crimes, for the psychopath will at some point always feel he is smart enough to get away with his/her crime of choice. Yet if treatment does not work, and if deterrence does not work, then the only other option would be warehousing for life.
This brings on its own troubling implications, would we lock a psychopath up for life, for a crime that a non-psychopath gets 10 years for; and if so, how could we justify such a criminal justice model, would not such a program be fundamentally unfair. It would seem that society has a duty, first and foremost, to itself, to try to find a treatment for psychopaths.
All of these are complex issues, the answers to which perhaps lay in fields of ethics law and philosophy more so then in psychology. However, we can at least look towards the question of is treatment in fact possible. For an ever growing body of research defines the importance of identifying psychopaths Farrell and Edson (2003). Farrell and Edson note that while not all psychopaths are convicted offenders, those who are sentenced often are the most dangerous, due to their lack of response to treatment, as well as their ability to con and play manipulative games.
The purpose of this paper will therefore be to attempt a survey of some of the key studies of psychopathologies effect under treatment, and to try to find any positive methods for future treatment. In particular I will focus on those studies involving psychopath who have been sentenced to some form of incarceration, and then treated. Unfortunately much of the current evidence seems to point towards treatment being useless or even counterproductive. In a study by Ogloff, Wong, and Greenwood (1990) a structured, supervised TC was used which attempted to create positive peer group influences. Patients where also graded on their level of psychopathy using the Hare PCL. It was found that those patients who had been classified as psychopaths showed less motivation towards treatment. In a follow up by Hemphill and Wong (1992) it was found that these patients where far more likely to be reconvicted than non-psychopaths, indeed, they showed no difference towards reconviction compared to non-treated psychopaths.
In another study by Hare, Clark, Grann, and Thornton (2000) 278 male offenders where studied from seven English prisons. Inmates where given the Hare psychopathology test at admission. All the patients where engaged in various anger management programs. The authors reported the program seemed to have no positive effect on any inmates. But on psychopaths it actually made them more likely to reoffend. Hare did note however that the study may be irrelevant, since the treatment seemed to not have any positive effect on any of the inmates, hence the treatment it

-you do have a nice abstract and intro, but they might be too lengthy, consider using parts of it in the and cutting them down a bit
-- you theisis statement- (The purpose of this paper will therefore be to attempt a survey of some of the key studies of psychopathologies effect under treatment, and to try to find any positive methods for future treatment.) Great but it is a thesis statement and you tell us really indepth what you are going to say/do.? isnt that also for the body of the paper.? but it'll prob work
