Prozac has been known to cause psychotic response in some people. Contact your therapist, or mental health agency, and ask for a referral with a board certified psychiatrist for medication management. You may need adjustment or alteration in an antidepressant. Talk with your professors and inform them of the difficulty your experiencing. I'm certain they'd be willing to accomodate your needs. But, the important, immediate thing to do is to treat the depression adequately!!! Best wishes to you!Health Question & Answer

How long have you been on your medication.? It could be that this medication is not working for you and you need to try something else. If you've been on it for a long time, you could be "burntout" on it and its not working anymore and you need to switch or take a higher dose. Ask your dr. about this.

also bring this up with your therapist, if you haven't already. He/she can help you work on some of the issues that are blocking your ability to complete your work.

And remember that its not your fault that you're struggling, its the disease you have.Health Question & Answer

Your own health is obviously more important than school, but maybe there is a way that you can see to both. You say you're seeing a therapist, well use that to your advantage. Talk to your friends, talk to your parents, anyone, about how you feel. Find something that makes you feel happy. Let out all of your emotions creatively by writing poetry or a story, or through art and music.
If it really comes to it, then can you take a break from school to focus on your own mind and relax.? But just think, you're in your senior year, so you'll have finished high school after this right.? (I'm not American, so I don't know how the schools work there)
I hope some of this helps. I'm always here as well if you want to talk to someone who understands =)Health Question & Answer
