I can't lie still and I can't sleep?!

Question: I can't lie still and I can't sleep.?
I cannot lie still for 5 seconds when I try and sleep at night. It's like a compulsion to move because I'm uncomfortable no matter what.... so I don't get to sleep until 4am, then have to get up at 6am.

My question is, what do you think may be wrong with me.? And what is a sedative that may help me (I already have a tolerance to imovane).?

TIA.

P.S, I don't drink caffeine or have sugar before bed.Health Question & Answer

It does sound like you might have restless leg syndrome, but you might have to go to a sleep laboratory to confirm this. (You will have to convert US drug names into the drug names in your country.) If imovane did not work for you, then
sonata and ambien will probably not work either, although they are worth trying. You can also try trazodone, which is technically an antidepressant but is often used for insomnia.

Next are anti-anxiety meds called benzodiazepines. All of these can be addicting. However, you can probably do ok with ativan or xanax, since they leave the body pretty quickly. also, try to take the meds only when needed. Long lasting benzos should be avoided unless necessary. These include klonopin, librium and valium.

I once typed a long list of natural sleep aids and have pasted it below. (It is so long it may put you to sleep.)

Depending on the season, a warm bath is a great way to relax. If you can
