Which is worse manic or clinical depression?!

Question: Which is worse manic or clinical depression.?
and what are the differences.?.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Well someone who is manic most likely has Biploar Disorder. Bipolar disorder is characterized by extreme periods of highs-manic phase, and extreme lows-depression stage. Not everyone goes through both extremes severly. Some people are more manic than they are depressed, but it usually comes in swings and sometimes can happen very frequently called "rapid cycling"
After working on the psych ward for awhile, dealing with someone who is manic is very difficult as they are EVERYWHERE! They're thought process in not clear, they can't sit still, they run around, don't sleep, often don't shower or take care of personal hygiene. On the other hand, someone who is depressed is very down and can have suicidal thoughts, gestures, tendencies, etc. Which is obviously very bad too. Both are treatable diseases with the right medication. Hope that helps some!Health Question & Answer
