Question: What sedative do they use for mental patients.?
I'm writing a story and I after Google failed me a few times, I came here.

All the times you see/hear about mental patients getting out of control, there's always a doctor who injects them with a drug to calm them down. What is the drug.? If there are multiple kinds, that's alright too, the most common one would be terrific help.Health Question & Answer

Some insurances are refusing to pay for this class of meds (benzo's) because of their potentially addictive nature.
