How to control anger?!


Question: How to control anger.?
I find that I've always had a very short temper. I believe part of it comes from my parent's history of having very short tempers as well. I often let certain things that people say get to me. Sometimes, when I start talking, I feel my blood rushing and my voice begins to tremor. I'd like to know how I could stay more composed as I am talking while angry. just remember that its weakness.if your a strong person then you will not wnat to feel weak.so everytime you get angry and let it out,think about it that uv let yourself down and give in to your weakness.this is the only way i can and have beat my anger most the time,i used to have to hit something or scream but thats weakness to me now not to be able to handle it.think about it like that do you wana lose control or do you wana be in control i prefer being in conrtol and with anger you cant be.keep calm dont think about something as much as you wana brush it off your stronger than that seriously.im 22 now so its not as if its took me all my life to do it.just try to understand the situation or the person whos making you angry.if you do wana say something say it calmly and firmly get your point across but dont shout it doesnt benefit anyone.i sometimes slip of course we all always will but always try your hardest.Health Question & Answer

I control my anger by not bottling anything up, if I do not say something I will never calm down I will get more angry and fly off the handle.. I get angry about a lot of things, and I have notcied that since I started speaking up when I got angry that I am starting to actually not get so angry when something does piss me off because I know I can and will say something. It always makes me feel so much better.

Like when people talk in the movies, and I feel like I am getting angry, I will turn around and tell them " Your being so rude could you please stop talking" not only does it give me my "rush" for the day of the unexpected but I release a lot of anger even though I will do it politely.

Simply voicing your opinion when you feel your getting to the very angry point will help... hopefully. I still get very very angry sometimes, but now its only when people wont leave me alone, then I will go do an activity where I pummel the cr*p out of something and feel better all over, that breathing stuff is crud... How do we control our anger.? We cannot control how and when we get angry but we can control and choose what we want to do with our anger. If we know that we fly off the handle easily, there are ways that we can do to manage it.

Expressing anger is not necessarily unhealthy, as long as it is constructive and serves as a warning. When an anger is suppressed over a long period of time, there is a possibility of greater damage when that anger is released eventually. Read more here
