Are you really going to trust what a bunch of ignorant strangers tell you in answer to your questions enough to use it in a school paper.? Go to the library, dear.
Hypomania has all the same symptoms as mania, just less severe. Often it can be fun, and beneficial, if it's euphoric. You can become more social, thrive on less sleep, work very efficiently, think faster and more clearly, become more talkative. However, you may also become highly irritable and snap at people, get agitated and be unable to sit still and so forth.
To the best of my knowledge therapy alone is rarely enough for successful treatment of bipolar disorder. You cannot control serious mood episodes caused by chemical imbalances by will alone. You need to balance out the chemicals as well.Health Question & Answer
