Question: Could this be my anxiety or should I worry that its something else.? Please help.?
I am 34 weeks pregnant and before pregnant took Lorazepam 3x daily 1mg for my anxiety disorder, I was finally starting to feel normal again. Now I can only tke .5mg 2x daily so it was a huge jump for me. It helps me a little bit but not a whole lot. Its more like it eases my mind. Well I started going into my moms around 32 weeks since my husband works 2nd shift and when hes gone I get depressed or anxious and I won't eat and thats bad for the baby so I go to my moms because I know I will eat and I also fear being alone. Well latley I've been feeling what I would call internal shaking.? And just plain weakness. However, when I'm home with my husband at night when hes off work, I feel fine, more normal, safe I guess. Could this be my anxiety even though I experience it when lying down etc..?

I'm not on bed rest but I don't do much due to my anxiety and depression. I basically go to bed at 2 or 3, get up around noon, eat a little something, head into my moms, watch tv until he gets off work occasionally get some dinner somewhere, go home around 10 and watch tv with him so I'm not very active. What could be causing the internal/also some external shaking and the feeling of plain weakness.? Thanks so much for your answers.

Well when pregnant always go to the doc for any problems whether u think they are in your mind or not. But as a anxeity,depression,and ocd sufferer for 7 yrs I know the signs. When u have any type of anxeity it can turn into other anxeity. Right now it sounds like you are experiencing seperation anxeity. Your husband has become your saftey net. When he leaves u feel anxious until his return. I bet when he leaves u probally have the feeling inside like please don't go. Then as soon as he leaves u get anxious. Then to further prove this when he gets home u feel better.I get this way when my mom goes out of town. She is suppose to leave tomorrow and I'm already anxious preparing for it. You will be ok. Once u have the. Baby get back on your meds. But the meds should be used as a crutch to help u. Most peoplke get on them and say I'm better then get off. Then get bad again and get back on. What happens is the med relaxes your brain and eases the thoughts. So while this is happening its a perfect time to learn abiut panic disorder and find the tips and tricks for beating it and put them into use while on meds. That way when u get off u will be ready. A panic attack. The next time this happens, take a deep breath. What I did during my panic attack today, was go to the bathroom for a minute, cry, then took a deep breath. Exercise. I myself have insomnia. Being pregnant will add mental and physical stress to you. Having an anxiety disorder will make the stress seem worse. From the daily activity you gave us teh bets awnser i have is be more active. You say you dont do anything because of your disorder, I say thats more of a reason to be active. Mental activity would be best for releiving the anxiety/worry. play cards, a board game, or anyhting that makes you think realy. also worth trying is this. my friend shane's wife just had her first child. during her pregancy she was worried all the time, kept feeling like things were wrong, when nothing was. She fixed this by doing stuff she likes. also she took up cookign as a hobby. cooking relaxed both her body and her mind ( before being pregnant she did not cook, only instant stuff. For the fear of being alone, dont be by yourself, or talk to peopel on the phone. hearing the voice of a loved one is soothing. Talking to my girlfriend or my even just holding my god son makes me relax, allowing me to find sleep easier even though i have insomniaHealth Question & Answer

It probably is the anxiety and depression. Your doctor had to lower your dosages for the safety of your baby. The new lower dosages are probably leaving you still anxious and depressed.You're doing a wonderful thing for your baby and I am so sorry you are suffering. You don't have to much time left. As soon as the baby is born while you are still in the hospital your doctor will up your dosages to the amount you were taking. You will feel much better. Just hang in there and do what your doing. The internal shaking could very well be the anxiety working on you. My concern though is that you are not eating regularly. You are eating for two right now remember and the baby is taking nutrients from your body. This could be the cause of the weakness. I suggest trying to schedule yourself a little more, get more active and eat three nutritious meals a day. Your baby is growing rapidly and needs the nutrients. You also need your strength for when the baby decides to be born. Birthing is very strenuous.
