i know this sounds weird, but it really really freaks me out. like i start gagging if i smell paper. people say that it has no smell, but for some reason it smells disgusting to me. does anyone know why.?.?.?.?.?Health Question & Answer

You can smell paper. Paper is actually made of strong fibers from the bark of the tree and has lignin, a strong natural adhesive (or glue), that holds it all together. Unless you don't like the smell of trees, I think what you are smelling is the lignin. OMG thought i was the only one. Old paper smells like wet dog! and new paper has that strange sweet smell about it.. i hate it when you open a book and you get that horrible smell that hits you- EWW!!Health Question & Answer
