I saw on a documentary that a sociopath is usually very charismatic, so they're not easy to identify.
But basically, The psychopath [or sociopath] is defined by a psychological gratification in criminal, sexual, or aggressive impulses and the inability to learn from past mistakes. Individuals with this disorder gain satisfaction through their antisocial behavior and also lack a conscience

Sociopath's don't believe that they should have to follow the rules of society. They lack a conscience and do not feel remorse. They are very good at blending in because they can easily morph their personality to fit whatever you would like. They are charming, cunning and become bored easily. The name has changed quite a bit I believe. Sociopath, psychopath and Anti Social Personality Disorder are the same. Most serial killers are Sociopaths but not all Sociopaths are killers.
