A few years ago i went through a similar thing it was terrible, but now i am fine i am still on antidepressants though but at least i can cope and have a normal life. Try not to stress as this will make you worse, remember you are going to a professional who knows what he is doing so dont stress about something before you go as you may find its fine after all.
there was a few articles that helped me at the time they are from the site below
i do hope you will be okay and have a peace ful day.

Don't Worry, All of the meds you described will NOT make you feel strange in any way. All they will do is help you calm down to the point where you can manage your anxiety. I've had anxiety for a long time, and thought the years I've taken most of the meds you've mentioned.

I think you'll feel much better once they get in to your system.

Good Luck,

All mental illness starts with depression Health Question & Answer

It sounds like a chemical imbalance in your brain. Nothing to freak out about. If you lose Potassium in the body, you get the shakes a muscles twinge or cramp. Eating foods like bananas or tsaking a Potassium supplement solves the problem. With your brain, it is simply finding what chemical is off balance and fixing it. Simple.

Knowing which chemical is off is why a psychiatrist gets the big bucks. It is also your job to take them as perscribed. Not to self-medicate by setting your own hours to take your meds.

A few years ago, I had a problem with not being able to concentrate on reading. I found out I had Dysthymic Disorder, a type of depression starting as a teenager. Had to go through several tries with meds until I found one that worked. I have read just fine since.

Your primary doctor gave you general medication for your problem while the psychiatrist will zero in on the specific meds you need.Health Question & Answer
