i believe what you currently experiencing is anxiety, it doesn't mean that you neccesarily had a panick attack but those unrealistic thoughts, those stupid fears are indeed anxiety...

Health Question & Answer

It COULD be...

The usual symptoms of an anxiety attack are racing heart, sweating, feelings of fear or panic, quick breathing, and shaking.

What you're describing could be an anxiety attack but doesn't totally sound like one. While prolonged attacks can cause intestinal pain or diarrhea, it isn't the main symptom.

What it sound like to me is that you woke up quickly, which startles your body. It's common for most people to have some sort of "fear" reaction when waking up quickly. The missing period has nothing to do with anxiety. Waking up is extremely stressful for the body, and even though you said you weren't asleep, you were probably more rested and something startled you. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.

Being underweight, however, can cause missing periods and heart problems, so if your period continues to stay away, go to the doctor. Health Question & Answer

I'm not a doctor, But I've had an anxiety disorder for about 12 years now, and from everything you've described, it does sound like you had a panic attack. If this continues, I strongly suggest you see a doctor to help you cope with whatever is going on in your life. Anxiety if not treated properly, can really be debilitating. But if properly diagnosed and treated, you can live a very happy and healthy life!!! Trust me, I know!!!

Good Luck,
