What do you do if your husband comes home drunk with a beer when he is on prescribed meds for depression?!

Question: What do you do if your husband comes home drunk with a beer when he is on prescribed meds for depression.?
HELP! Husband talks to himself and I heard him say: Hey Jerry, Give me a kiss. Is Husband turning GAY on me.? A couple weeks ago, he pierced his ear by himself. Husband told me that he wouldn't turn GAY on me if he did pierce his ear. But I feel that he is turning GAY on me.

WHAT DO I DO.? I AM SCARED. Health Question & Answer

I would be scared too, but don't forget it could be Jeri, not Jerry, not that that would me feel any better either. Depressed people tend to feel unnoticed so he may be trying to get attention by saying something shocking. This would worry me that he may cheat on you w/ a guy or girl just to be noticed for a while. You may need to become more encouraging and observant of him, but also, he may need some Godly attention. Putting your faith in a person will always let you down(they aren't God) so you two may need to get into church or your bible together. But as for the drinking on meds, I would tell on him, you probably know his Dr.'s office # or can get it so call and tell. I'm sure they won't approve of him drinking on the meds. It defeats the purpose. The Dr. has him on anti-depressants(uppers), but the alcohol (a downer) which is how he is used to feeling. The bigger question is why is he afraid to change for the better by getting better.? I know it may feel like you are betraying him and he might think that for a while but he isn't of healthy mind right now and he could really get hurt by abusing prescription drugs w/ alcohol. Only you can know what's best so as always do what is right for you. Take care.Health Question & Answer

Have you asked him about him saying 'hey jerry gime a kiss.?' What is his response to it.?
You need to know if he is hearing voices or hallucinating someone as this could be a serious mental illness.
did he say that when he had mixed alcohol with his meds.? he could be confused if it was with the mix.
And why did he believe he wouldnt turn gay on you IF he pierced his ear.?
You have a few questions to ask him.Health Question & Answer

Piercing your ear doesn't mean you're going gay. And even though drinking is a no no on depression meds, I've done it and am still alive today. I think it just makes you feel the alcohol much more quickly, plus, not good for your liver or your depression to drink.

He really sounds like he's losing it, though, so if it were my husband I'd take him to counseling. If he wouldn't go I'd tell him I was the one going and needed his support and drag him into the room with me. Good luck.Health Question & Answer

relax. you need to understand that he is going through a rough patch in his life. Please be supportive towards him.
