When I was a teenages, I was very depressed, and even thought about taking my life once. What helped me was that I told my friends and family how I was feeling, and they really helped me out, and I could feel their love for me. I also got involved in sports, games, clubs, and group activities. It really helped me to be around other teenagers my age who were going through the same things that I was going through, and that could relate to me, and help me deal with my problems. I have been in dark places in my life before, and thanks to these clubs, my friends, and my family, I am now living a happy, and joyful life.

Depression normally passes after your a teenager, its your hormones going crazy, and your lack of freedom. Alas there is an answer first im going to first say anti-depressants because i take them, and i found a brand that works for me. And there is quite a few to select from. You have to talk to a doctor or a counselor though to be directed to them.

Depression also runs threw your family gene's, its hereditary. Meaning someone in your family with out a dout has it to. Ask your family, and when you find out who has it ask how they coped with it or are coping with it.

Another option that helps me is music, get an ipod.. a zune.. something to carry with you to block out everything. It made me way less depressed while i was getting threw school. My grades even went up. Many schools wont allow it during class, but because i was prescribed to listen to music with a doctors note they couldn't do anything about it.


also sometimes your friends or family may be directing depression towards you threw there actions. Like making you be quiet when your naturally a loud person. Or making you do work when your naturally lazy. You have to execute the problem if this is the case, think hard about what it might be, if anything at all and target it. You need the target to know how you feel. In the meantime try to surround yourself with happy people that you enjoy. Its a proven study that happiness is contagious. Honestly, I went through all of this from the age of 13 and still today at 18.

I've tried therapy, anti-depressants, you name it.
Nothing like that will help.
You just need to find something that you truly enjoy, like I decided I wanted to do hair. Doing hair makes me happy, and so does photography.

I look at it now, and all depression is, is a chemical imbalance. Health Question & Answer

depends how bad it is. if it's not that bad, you need to get friends and loved ones involved. if it gets worse, which i truly hope it doesn't, then you might need someone specialized to help..
