Everyone reacts differently to different medications. While I cannot take Cymbalta - bad reaction - when I was on it, I had no pain whatsoever (I have fibromyalgia). It was too bad that the Cymbalta didn't work out; I enjoyed being pain free. As far as Zoloft goes, it works well for those who can take it.

If it turns out that you can't take either medication or if they just don't work well for you, there are many others out there that your doctor can try. I highly recommend trying the Cymbalta. If I hadn't been allergic, I'd still be on it.Health Question & Answer

I take cymbalta for anxiety. The only side effects that I have experienced is sleepiness (which I combat by taking my pill before I go to bed), and sometimes if I forget to take it for a couple days and start again, I wake up very early or frequently in the night and get dizzy often. However, when I am taking it regularly and don't forget any doses, all my side effects subside after about a week.Health Question & Answer

depends on the person. My boyfriend was on zoloft and it didn't work for him. Then another one that made him worse.
You just have to try it out and find what one works for you, people react differently to different medication.
I know for me with panic/anxiety attacks i went on paxil and it helped me right away and my friends mom is on it for her anti depressant.
Just know that whatever you do watch and make sure it won't make you worse or change it.Health Question & Answer

I've taken them both because I have OCD. I'm on Cymbalta right now. Zoloft does nothing. It felt like i was taking pez candy. Cymbalta is OKAY but it's not amazing.Health Question & Answer
