i'm almost 19 and my boyfriend and i have dated for 4 years in february.
he's been in basic training for the army since late october and gets to come home for two weeks for christmas.
i'm so excited to see him! and we've yet to go to each other's house on christmas eve because both families have people there.
i want to make both, and i've tried explaining this to my mom and she freaked out. she's sooo controlling and told me that i've ruined christmas for her and that one day she won't be here and i'll have to live with that decision.
there's no reasoning with her...but i want to try. any suggestions.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Tbh, you need to live your life for you. Not for your mother or anyone else for that matter. I know you want to honor your mother, but there's more Christmas' to come. Do it the way you want. Granted, she might not be there some day and you'll have to live with it but that works both ways. So go with your gut feeling and follow your heart -cliche.
