Self Injury at the doctor's?!
Question: Self Injury at the doctor's.?
So I know that a doctor will tell your parents if they see scars that are clearly self-inflicted.
I'm going to get help eventually, but for now I really can't have my parents find out. I have cuts down my arm and I will have an appointment probably in a month or so.
Any ideas.? Will they heal fast enough.?Health Question & Answer

Maybe if they ask, tell them you're already getting help. I had to get a needle once (mum wasn't around) I had scars all over my arm, the woman giving me the injection asked me about it, I told her I was seeing a councillor ( I wasn't, but I had planned on stopping).
It's really hard to stop on your own, I still havn't, try to get some help, even if it's just calling a 1800 number every now and then.

Likely that even if you stop your doctor will still see your scars and ask you about it. I used to cut and now I have a 3 inch scar that's puffy from something I did 5 years ago. You should stop before it escalates. Do you know how much it sucks to have people ask you about a self-inflicted scar years down the road (and, yes, everyone asks).?Health Question & Answer
You are one sick chic! If you plan on waiting a month.....perhaps you will never make it. You just want attention, sweetie......grow up and care about yourself since no one else will.Health Question & Answer
