Question: Help my ear is infected!.?
I got a second hole piercing in my ear about a year ago. It's been kind of off and on infected ever since. And, I've noticed that when you feel around the whole, it feels swollen... like there's something in there! I've cleaned it with alcohol swabs and put neosporin in, and even tried squeezing whatever it is that's in my ear out, but if it could be squeezed out, it would've. What's wrong with me.? It doesn't really hurt if you don't mess with it, but last night it started bleeding... what do I do.?Health Question & Answer

If there's no puss to be pushed out, it's probably scar tissue that is formed in the hole. This happens with piercings sometimes (I got it on my bellybutton because the guy pierced the skin too close to the edge and I had to take the piercing out)
I wouldn't keep trying to put any jewelry in to be sure it's healing. also infections can get bad so I'd stop the alcohol and stick with the neosporin. If you don't see it healing it up in earnest in a couple of weeks I'd contact a doctor to get a stronger antibiotic cream.Health Question & Answer
