It sounds like she has celiac disease. All of those diseases are linked to celiac. Try to get her to eat a gluten free diet. That might help all of them.Health Question & Answer

Basic Lymphatic Drainage massage would be extremely helpful for her. She probably cannot perform it herself in that condition, but I'm sure someone else can. Here's some basics to it that you can try: Place your hands on her feet, and as slowly as you can while still moving, glide your hand up her calves and towards the groin. No pressure need be applied, just the weight of the hand is fine. Be sure she drinks a Lot of extra water afterwords. Just 5-10 minutes of this a day can be very helpful:)

Suggest she go see a massage therapist that is certified in Lymphatic Drainage to get even better results.Health Question & Answer

Make sure she is elevating both feet to a level higher than her heart for at least 20 minutes 3 times a day. This will help relieve the edema. Sometimes, however, people will feel pain if they have venous insufficiency (not enough oxygen getting to lower legs). Tell her to do her best. Does she wear compression stockings.? That's another option for edema.
Gabapentin also known as Neurontin is prescribed for neuropathic pain. Some people get great relief from it. Others, none at all. I've heard through many doctors and patients that Horse Chestnut is very successful with edema and leg pain. It's an herbal supplement sold over the counter. It's worth a try but one must talk to their doctor first.
Hope this helps. Good luckHealth Question & Answer
