Answers:
upsides are that they are popular now and everybody looks for a massage therapist. also, degress as a massage therapist are very easy to acquire. I think you can get a degree in this in less than 2 or 3 years.

Downsides are that it depends where you are looking for a job. It is most likely that business for a massage therapist is better in the cities/ where you will get a nice and decent salary. also, I believe you will always be in demand. Who doesn't like getting massaged!!!Health Question & Answer

Most MTs will feel burned out and quit within the first year.
Most MTs don't care enough about body mechanics and become very sore

You only have to have license for massage, I'm in school for it. Takes between 4 months and 18 months. Upside: It pays well, usually only part time work. Can be refreshing and very enjoyable, especially when you help someone ill or in pain to feel relief.

Downside: Lots of icky situations can come with the job, depending on the location and what kind of work you are doing. also, hard on hand and body if you don't take good care of yourself.Health Question & Answer
