How do I stop myself from waking up in the middle of the night?!

Question: How do I stop myself from waking up in the middle of the night.?
I go to sleep around 10 or 10:30 PM, and I'm supposed to wake up at 8 AM, but for the past week or so, I've been waking up at about 5 AM and having trouble falling to sleep again. I might even wake up again after that, but I'm too tired to tell usually. How do I stop this.? I really need a good night's sleep. It's probably not very good for my brain or body either.Health Question & Answer

I have to get up at 5 am everyday for school. Its annoying. I wake up every 2 hours in the middle of the night having an anxiety attack (most likely on school nights, because i am stressed). Sleeping pills may help. You go through different cycles in the middle of the night, REM being the last one. And your total sleep cycles (which is like 4-5) last 90 min. Usually you go from REM right back into stage 1, And at 5 am your body is waking up after REM, when this happens to me (i wake up at 3 for some reason every morning, and its annoying. I lay down, don't even lift my head, and close my eyes, and think of something, like things i will be doing that day (even though i am wide awake, i fall back to sleep after a half an hour). The warm milk will prob help before you go to sleep. This use to always happen to me, but i had to train myself to go back to sleep after i wake up, and am wide awake (when i wake every 2 hours i fall back asleep right away). I just lay there. And eventually fall asleep. Take a sleeping pill right before you go to sleep, and relax about an hour before you go to sleep, don't be jumping around, this may help. Hope i helped. Good Luck =)Health Question & Answer

I personally like waking up in the middle of the night.

But in your case...well you should go to bed without to much food or water in your stomach. Maybee you need to flip your matress. Or maybee even get a new one. You should get a water bed, those are awsome to sleep on. also dont have any caffine before going to sleep, which can usually be a major cause. Or maybee you need to throw up. Throwing up can always make people feel better, if you have trouble doing so try drinking some water with a LOT of salt in it. Works every time. The salt will make you much more tired too. But not too much salt or else it could kill you.

Hope i could help buddyHealth Question & Answer

no its not good for your brain or body, sleeping is when your body repairs itself, and if you dont get atleast 8 hours of sleep every night, you will suffer from headaches, dizyness, memory loss and so on.

take a glass of warm milk before you go to bed. this relaxes the whole body and you will sleep like a baby all night long.

if this doesnt work, maybe sleeping pills will.
i dont really know of anything else that could help you, talk to your doctor about the sleeping pills before you buy them though as he/she will recommend the correct ones.

goodluck hope they work for ya and hope i helped you :)Health Question & Answer
