My dentist is such a liar. Does this make her a liar?!

Question: My dentist is such a liar. Does this make her a liar.?
On October 2008, she told me that my braces are coming off on November 2008.
Then, on November 2008, she didn't want to take it off because she told me "it's too early..." so I came back to her on December 2008.
Then, on December 2008, she told me that she didn't want to take it off again because maybe I can't spend my Christmas Vacation. So she told me to go back on the 1st week of January 2009. So I did then she told me that come back again on the 2nd week. Then on the 2nd week she told me again to come back next week...So I came there today then she didn't want to remove it again. Then last week she said she's gonna remove it on Feb. 4 then now she told me that she is gonna remove it on Feb. 25... She's such a liar. In your opinion, is she a liar.?Health Question & Answer

wow, my boyfriend's orthodontist also did the same thing. Hes been wearing his braces for more than 3 years now. The orthodontist keeps saying he'll take it off next time but never does. It's frustrating I know, but I'm sure you won't have them on forever.. shes bound to take it off for you sometime. Next time, just be blunt with her and tell her politely that you would like to know the REAL date shes going to take them off. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

I wouldn't really call her a liar, I'd say that she's a pretty lousy ortho tho. Book another appointment with a different ortho. She probably doesn't know when their supposed to come off and keeps booking all these appointments to have a look and try and figure out how their coming along. Cheat on your Ortho and get another one!!!Health Question & Answer

In my opinion no.
She was just telling you what she felt.
My braces were meant to come off in July 2008.
But i still have the bottom ones on.
Thats just because my orthodontist didnt think that they were ready.
She probably isn't lieing to you. She's probably just telling you what she thinks but your teeth might be stubborn and not moving the way she expected.Health Question & Answer

If you wanna believe that, than go ahead. Orthos/Dentists wont chance with having your teeth messed up (as you are spending $4000-$6000 on the braces). Whats the good of wearing braces for 2+ years if you dont wait till they are totally done fixing your teeth. Good luck, though.Health Question & Answer

Your dentist may be post poning it because your teeth are not ready you'd rather wait an extra couple of days then take them off imediately and they are still crooked.Health Question & Answer

Other than pissing you off, how does it change anything.? Just accept that they need to stay on a little while longer of go for a second opinion.Health Question & Answer

Ok yes it is annoying that she keeps calling you back, But she is professional and knows what she is doing.

You sound very childish calling her a liarHealth Question & Answer

It's hard to determine when they should come out.
Some people it takes longer to fix the teeth.
I'd be glad that she cares enough to keep them in longer.Health Question & Answer

your teeth must be really messed up for her to delay it that long. honestly, she know best. if she says they're not ready they're probably not ready.Health Question & Answer

You only have them on voluntarily! Just ask her to ----ing take them off if you really want them off! But she knows best!Health Question & Answer

Yes she is, but you let her! Stop being a pushover tell her you want it removed.Health Question & Answer

She's a dentist. They are lower forms of life.Health Question & Answer

No, you will appreciate it later because I sure do. Maybe she's just newHealth Question & Answer
