Question: Is Medicare part B a good deal.?
I am turning 65 and still working. My health insurance at work costs me $6000 a year. Would I be better off getting Medicare part B and D and dropping the work insurance altogether.?Health Question & Answer

We have Part B. It's absolutely necessary if Medicare is your primary carrier. If your employer does not insist that Medicare be your primary provider I would pay the $6,000 a year because many physicians will not take you as a patient if you are Medicare, no matter how many parts you have.Health Question & Answer
