Question: Medical .?. my bfs dog jumped on me and.?
hit its paw right into my throat. now im having sharp pains and hard to swallow. its not to bad. but im a lil concerned. is there any possibility of damage should i go to er.? or will i be ok... he jumped on me so fast and his paw went right into my throat area.Health Question & Answer

If it's not too bad, then consider at least calling your doctor Monday morning.
Meanwhile, make sure to get it clean,
and KEEP it clean!
Infection can turn a small scratch into a huge, painful, and, sometimes even dangerous illness.
Neosporin or polysporin should also be used.
Be sure to follow the package instructions!
Neosporin has a pain relieving product as well!!
It will lightly numb the scratch, as well as help it to heal faster!
That's a big plus in my book!!

i've hit my throat hard before and had it feel the exact same way. i think if anything serious had happened u wouldnt be asking and ud already be at the ER so i'd say wait it out, take some pain medication, and see how you feel in the morning. if those sharp pains get any worse dear or more frequent, just go to the ER to be safe. but if it stays relatively same, just save your money.

How big was the dog.? If it was a med to large dog, there may have been enough weight behind the momentum to cause damage. Is there swelling or inflammation in your throat to indicate injury.? Put some ice on the area and take some ibuprofen......Health Question & Answer
