This happens to me too and I have a mild latex allergy. It is best to use fabric band-aids. Latex allergies can progress over time, so keep it in mind because if you truly are allergic to latex you might have other reactions too . For example: your lips might swell-up if you blow up too many balloons and you should let your doctor know.Health Question & Answer

Being allergic to the adhesive on the band-aid is not uncommon. Next time you could see if you could guy some gauze or band-aids that don't have latex in the adhesive.
Think it may just be the band-aid ripping off your hair.? This also isn't uncommon. When I've gone to the emergency room, a few days after they take off the tape from where my I.V. was hurts pretty badly since the adhesive rips out the hairs. Sometimes the hairs become ingrown, and that makes it hurt even more.
Really worried about it.? See the doctor, they can prescribe some sort of cream or oral medication.Health Question & Answer

I get the same thing. It is not unusual for peoples skin to be allergic to certain adhesives. I've had to try several different types of Band Aid type products. I found the flexible fabric band aids better but the best ones for me are the ones with the clear, waterproof strips.

Best wishes to you.Health Question & Answer

You might be allergic to latex, try to buy plastic band-aids without latex. If it still happens it might be the glueHealth Question & Answer
