What is causing these headaches?!
Question: What is causing these headaches.?
Over the holidays, it was my sister's birthday and I have a lot of cake in a short period of time. I probably shouldn't have had so much of that, because for almost a week afterward, I would get these horrible incurable migraines that could only be gotten rid of by a long nap. If I had a blast of sugar, that would help, but only temporarily.
So today I had a large portion of birthday cake (not as much as last but it was definitely a LOT) and maybe 30 minutes later I got those headaches back. Since then, it went away by itself, but something tells me my headaches are related to sugar consumption in some way.
Some background: I used to have a pretty bad eating problem (borderline anorexic) but I think I've improved, even though I still have some symptoms of eating disorders. Over the summer, my doctor told me I was anemic, too. And Before my sister's birthday, I probably hadn't had very much sugar at once for a long time.
So, what's going on.?Health Question & Answer

Your blood sugar would probably have been very low and the sudden intake of that much sugar would have sent you spinning. It sounds like your okay to have a bit of icing or something, but a lot of cake was never going to be a good idea.Health Question & Answer
"Blood Sugar Headaches":
Large doses of refined sugar can lead to these headaches (especially if you didn't have a balanced meal before). Limit your processed sugar and caffeine and eat regular, balanced meals and they should clear up.
