Question: Please help!!!!! i have a chewing gum addiction!!!!!.?
ok... im and 18 yr old female and i can easily get through 15- 20 pieces of gum a day and i chew each piece for a long time (i pretty much always have gum in my mouth except when im eating or sleeping), i really dont know why i have the urge to eat it so much and i need to know if im damaging my body.

If you are chewing a gum that contains either sugar or artificial sweetener, you are indeed doing harm to your body but that is easily fixed by switching to a gum that is sweetened with Xylitol. Xylitol is a natural sweetener that comes from birch bark and other sources. It tastes just like regular sugar but only has about 40% of the calories. The best part is that it is a 5 sided sugar instead of the usual 6 sided ones.
