they will tell you...when you go, you have to fill out forms. if it matters, then there will be a question about it. if not, then not. juts to be safe, you should check with the company you are giving blood to...if you are doing red cross "give life", then go to www.givelife.org. the guidelines and some FAQ should be there...good luck!

ps. its great that you want to give blood :)Health Question & Answer

By law you can not donate blood unless a year has passed after you received your tattoo. It doesn't matter that you didn't bleed, it is the fact that your skin was exposed by a needle and infection could have entered into your system. Sorry, but that is the law, if you lie and get caught you could spend time in jail. Besides, you wouldn't want to make someone else sick, maybe even a small child would you.?Health Question & Answer

you should wait 6 months after tattoo to donate after that it is ok as they will check your blood and if found anything they will tell and dispose it.

the wait period to be sure that there is no hidden virus in your blood from tattooing(it is very common).

there are rules about this - check with the Blood website what the restrictions are. I don't think it matters whether or not you bled - the point is that having a tattoo makes you far more likely to have a blood infection, which might not be visible.Health Question & Answer

No, for health reasons you will want to wait 12 month, this is becuase if by chance you have contacted hepatitis while getting your tattoo it may not show up in your blood yet.Health Question & Answer
