Having to have your feet removed with a case of severe frostbite?!
Question: Having to have your feet removed with a case of severe frostbite.?
Theres this girl i know who has been in the hospital for a month now. A month ago, she got into a fight with this friend and her friend told her to get out of her car and she ended up having to walk all the way home. She was only wearing flatts as shoes and ended up taking them off and walked all the way home which would of been an hour walk in FREEZING weather.
Apparently she almost made it to her house but stopped at a store, where they called an amboulance. So its been a month now that shes in the hospital and my friend visited her and told me her feet were black and swollen and looked horrible.
Im now hearing rumors that she might have to have her feet removed.? is this possible.?

Yes, in fact if its been a month now and her feet are still black and swollen, chances are they will have to be removed. She most probably will never have feeling in her feet again, and perhaps they don't have to remover her feet.Health Question & Answer
