For those who have arthritis, how does the weather affect it.?Health Question & Answer

Our weather just outside of Washington, D.C. in Maryland has been cold, damp, and temperatures ranging from single digits to the 30's.

My arthritis is screaming! I can't take anything for it because of my kidney transplant. The best I can do is regular Tylenol and that doesn't even begin to touch it.

Occasionally when it gets to the point of tears I'll get in bed and wrap up to get warm and that helps some. Last night my hubby rubbed ActivOn all over me from my neck and shoulders down my spine before going to bed and it allowed me to get some sleep.Health Question & Answer

My husband & I live about 50 mi. north of Charlotte, NC. The weather here is damp and extremely foggy - less than 1/2 mile visibility. We both have arthritis, and this kind of weather makes our joints hurt terribly. I have a home remedy book, and one of the suggestions was to rub your affected joints with Caster Oil and apply a heating pad. We've both tried it, and it has helped alleviate the pain a lot! It's supposed to be sunny here tomorrow - Hallelujah! God bless you!!! :)Health Question & Answer

We have a very nice weather here in Bacolod City, ****** Occidental, Philippines. God is so good to us. Storms seldom visited us here. I am 66 years old but thanks God I have no arthritis. My husband and I really praise God for at our age, he is 69 years old we don't have any medicine as maintenance. God is really wonderful and our children are all very happy for us. The Lord is our physician. He is a great doctor and thanks to Him.Health Question & Answer

I live in a southern city of AZ, previously from the snowbelt, wet area...Having over 320 days of sun helped my arthritic joints very very happy, w/ an average humidity at about 0-30 %. I walk for 1 hour /day soaking up the Vit. D rich sun.
I'd say, I'm much more active inside & outside of the house, and my arthritic condition has improved at least 60 % in 6 years of living in AZ. I'm aging but my joints aren't aging as fast as my chronological age, to say the least. Hope you find this informative :):}Health Question & Answer

I live in southern California. The weather presently is in the mid seventies, sunny and clear.
Last week it was in the eighties followed by a few days of rain.
My arthritis is minimal, thank God. I feel this is also a favorable climate for arthritis. :DHealth Question & Answer

It's chilly outside but warm compared to many parts of the world today. It's 42 degrees F. outside right now at 10:10 A.M. Sunny out and nice view too. Doesn't seem to effect my arthritis right now. It gets worse when it rains. Doing pretty good that way anyway---taking 3 kinds of pills for this problem.

Oh, forgot to say I'm in California near San Francisco, to the NE of SF. I'm about a mile from an extension of the bay so we usually get real breezy here, not too bad. Pretty calm today.Health Question & Answer

right now we are under a cold wave ha ha ha ha it is more like at a nice cold 75 degrees, wear shorts just way too nice. I guess that is why we have a lot of "Winter Texans" visiting us. Try Texas at least for the winter months; you would just love it.
My sister can tell when the weather is going to get messed up--her pains are more painful...Health Question & Answer

It has been bitter cold in New York State the past few weeks, and this month we have had lots and lots of snow. It is snowing again like mad this afternoon (Jan. 28). Yes, southern AZ would be kinda neat right now, we have family there. Northern AZ probably is just like it is here right now.Health Question & Answer

It's crappy weather--cold, snowy, yucky. I don't have arthritis, thank God, but if I did today would probably be really painful.Health Question & Answer
