Question: Ways to calm yourself instead of cutting.?
ive stopped cutting for 5 months now and im proud of that but.. i feel like **** because of my boyfriend who dumped me..

and i want to start again. ive tried using a rubber band on my wrist and flicking it but that doesnt calm me.

You can also draw on your wrist with red pen, or rub an ice cube on your wrist.Listening to music that relates to your emotions may help. Screaming at the top of your lungs helps. .Write the name of a loved one where you usually cut. Let it remind you of who cares for you and who are hurting when you cutting. I used to pop pills all the time, but now, if i have an urge to pop pills, i take some tic tacs. they're a safe replacement. they can't harm me. for you, i would suggest like just rubbing your arms, but im sorry, i'm not really sure. i tried it before but i didnt have an addiction to it. i hope i can help!Health Question & Answer
